Inspiration from Wizards

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Funny things happen when I stay up late browsing YouTube.

I decided to listen to the Demons and Wizards album by Uriah Heep. The first song, The Wizard came on and I chose to really pay attention to the lyrics for the first time. This is the second verse:

He had a cloak of gold and eyes of fire
And as he spoke, I felt a deep desire
To free the world from it’s fear and pain
And help the people to feel free again

Something stirred inside me in those words.  I thought of people who were my Wizards, moving me to change the world with their teachings. The most obvious is Jesus Christ along with my Christian brothers. There is also Dr. Ron Paul and his institute for peace and prosperity, Libertarian Economists such as Dr. Tom Woods, Dr. Bob Murphy. Judge Andrew Napolitano and other wise humans who seek a free and peaceful society.
I thought of my work week interacting with children in schools discussing mutual respect, resolving conflicts and peacemaking.
The result is the kickoff of this new blog.

Bear with me on my journey. In fact, please come along. I am still settling my own inner peace and working at being at peace with all humans. Perhaps we can become Wizards who inspire people to be peacemakers.
